and aural delectation; a conjoining of the subject and object, a frisson of
lexicon-cal ribaldry … and there may even be cake for sale.

September 12th in your diaries for the chance to experience
imaginative language in its raw form; no microphones, no special lighting; just
spoken worm word. It’s going to be a corker…’ [end quote].

two guest performers, one of them being Jackie Brewster.

Stapleford artist, Kurt Bosworth says
My Work
I have drawn, painted and sculpted for as long as I can remember. In the last 30 years I have had my work accepted in a number of places, at the Nottingham Castle ‘Local Artist Exhibition’, Beeston Town Hall, Long Eaton Library and Stapleford Library. In the late 1990’s I completed ‘A’ levels in ‘Fine Art’ and ‘Art, Craft and Design’ at the Arthur Mee Centre. Following this I took up a course in sculpture at Clarendon College. All three courses have had a great influence on my work, most of all the course at Clarendon because it gave me the opportunity to express myself freely.
-----------------
Most of my work consists of 3 dimensional sculptures and high relief pieces for wall hanging. All are made in mixed media, i.e. plaster, wood, cloth and natural materials. Because of this they are only really suitable for indoor situations
------------------
I use the shape of the cross in much of my work, not to show any religious beliefs but because ‘I like it’. Nothing more than that!
